Apple held its yearly World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) at the San Jose Convention Center. This year alone, the number of staggering announcements and improvements found on iOS, tvOS, the new iPadOS, watchOS left me excited. One thing stood out for me as a gamer though, as Apple revealed support for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controllers.
But, you’ll need to be on an iPhone 6S or newer smartphone, and need to be (of course) on iOS 13, which is out this fall for everyone. Support comes to tvOS as well as iOS and iPadOS.
So if you’re like me and prefer a traditional experience rather than a touch experience, this now makes the process easier than having to buy a separate controller for your smartphone.
This is good for those who sign up for Apple Arcade, which is still targeted to begin its service later this year.
