Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and ESL, Gamelta esports Pro League, GameStop, and PlayStation 4 and Twitch have announced the Injustice 2 Championship, a tournament with $600,000 up for grabs in four tournaments that are set to start on May 26.
The championship will be held throughout four months and can be viewed on Twitch, which plans to stream the entire thing.
With participants coming from North America, Europe, and Latin America, expect to see a variety of pro and amateur players the chance to compete for a piece of the $600,000 and will lead into the Injustice Pro Series Finals; a series of rounds with the top 16 players from around the world. ESL operated tournament, the Injustice 2 GameStop Hometown Heroes begins on June 4, 2017, and offers an “all-new way,” for those who aren’t competing in the Injustice 2 Pro Series, their own way to win. The finals will be held on August 27, 2017, at the 2017 GameStop Consumer Expo in LA.
Next, the Injustice 2 Path to Pro Tournament is for the European players opens on May 20, for players in Benelux Union, France, Germany, Nordic territories, Italy, Spain and U.K. who aren’t participating in the Injustice 2 Pro Series, with finals on August 19, 2017.
Lastly, the Injustice 2 Liga Latina will include players from Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru, with the finals taking place on August 13, 2017.
