The fantasy FPS Immortals of Aveum is getting a big, free update. Starting on November 16th players will be able to download The Echollector that will include playable content, gear, and expanded lore.
But that’s just the start, new modes are also on the way with New Game Plus and a more brutal difficulty call Grand Magnus.
We reviewed Immortals of Aveum earlier this year, praising its deep and rich story and world, as well as its Call of Duty and Far Cry-esc gameplay complete with conjuring magic.
End new game content will have you (Jak), tackling some more evil forces: “The events of the Everwar left the Path weak, scattering chunks of the consciouscape across Aveum and creating corrupted Shatterfanes – portals to new, undiscovered areas.”
The Immortals of Aveum New Game Plus content isn’t just the same old story but with your developed skills and powers:
- Upgrade your Epic and Legendary gear to higher levels with the Forge in NG+
- Rebalanced enemy health, damage, and abilities
- Jak carries forward most spells and abilities unlocked in a previous playthrough
- Augment spells cannot carry forward due to their unlock requirements
- Adjustments made to experience and currency earned while playing
The team at Ascendant Studios has been hard at work on the update, also adding a free trial for new players that haven’t tried the game yet. The demo-like experience will be available across the board on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or on PC via Steam.
Full patch notes will be released over the coming days as the Echollector update is closer to release on November 16th.
