Hogwarts Legacy Delayed to 2022

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Avalanche Software have announced that the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed from 2021 to sometime next year.

The delay was announced on Twitter and that the developers are currently at work on “creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World.” After a leak that set the hearts of millions of fans aflutter in 2018, Hogwarts Legacy was officially unveiled this past September and it certainly got me excited.

You’ll play as a new student at Hogwarts with the game set in the 1800s instead of the early 1990s as Harry Potter was. You’ll choose your house, attend classes and even duel other students.

If you’re against J.K. Rowling’s recent tirade on gender, you’re not alone and Avalanche confirms “J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game.” Phew, I can only handle so much negativity!
