I had to dig deep for this bit of news today because I swear we’ve already seen footage of Cyberpunk 2077 running on PlayStation hardware. Turns out, I was wrong and today CD Projekt Red has revealed footage of their game running on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility.
The video focuses on the Nomad path, which is one of three paths available to the player at launch and this playthrough starts at nearly the beginning of the game. Featuring action from the Badlands — the desert area which surrounds Night City — as well as from the streets of Night City itself.
The footage on PlayStation 4 looks good but we’re officially looking at dated hardware at this point, on the PlayStation 5, the game is clearly taking advantage of the boost via hardware.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on December 10, 2020.
