Helldivers 2 Receives An Update, Adds Planetary Hazards And Weapon Nerfs And Buffs

Arrowhead Game Studios is working on continually improving Helldivers 2 after a surprisingly successful launch window where more than 800,000 people have flocked to save Democracy,

Since then, the studio has been transparent about the wild growth Helldivers 2 is seeing. Things finally seem to be on track for the studio, with their original roadmap back on track.

Today, a new patch for PlayStation 5 and PC is live, and it includes new planetary hazards and new environmental challenges, including meteors and fire tornadoes are active.

There are also several nerfs and buffs, including changes to the Railgun, the Energy Shield Backpack, and Breaker, three times crucial to higher-difficulty playthroughs, that have been nerfed. On the flip side, several weapons received buffs to compensate for the other weapons and stratagems.
