Coming out of today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, we got a date for Helldivers 2, is set to launch for PC and PS5 players on February 8, 2024, according to PlayStation.
The date is a couple of months off the game’s previously rumoured October window date, but it’s good to hear the PlayStation Studio second-party title is getting much more time to breathe. With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 as the game of that month for the PlayStation nation, it’s good to see Sony take a step back and give Helldivers 2 a better month to stand on its own, even though February is looking a bit busy with other releases from third-party publishers.
At the State of Play, we saw all gameplay in a multiplayer session of the 2024 game in action from possible playtesters doing an excellent job showing off Helldivers 2‘s mechanics. Players can team up in online co-op multiplayer with up to four players as you and your squad team up to use large-scale destructive power through stratagems on missions, explore unique planets and complete objectives together. Helldivers 2 features a deep progression system allowing players to upgrade equipment and collect alien resources to enhance and unlock new stratagems aboard your ship.
Helldivers 2 is scheduled to launch on February 8th, 2024, for PC and PS5, with preorders for the Standard Edition and the Super Citizen Edition set to go live on September 22nd. Players who pre-order the game will receive bonus armour, including’ the TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand, the TR-62 Knight, and the TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy.
