Geoff Keighley teased his preview of the DualSense yesterday with a livestream set for 12:00 PM ET today. Those who tuned in were treated to an exclusive first look at the newest PlayStation controller and a demo of an upcoming game.
Geoff demonstrated the DualSense‘s capabilities with a gameplay demo of Astro’s Playroom, which included a look at how the adaptive triggers work, how the controller offered crips, clean audio from the speakers and an interview with the head of marketing at PlayStation. Speaking to Eric Lempel, Geoff asked about when we would be able to pre-order the PlayStation 5 as he had heard people were already lining up at retailers. Eric iterated that PlayStation would offer a grace period and notice of when pre-orders begin, telling fans not to line up just yet.
PlayStation 5 is scheduled to launch this holiday season.
