During their E3 2021 event, Microsoft and 343 Industries gave us our first look at the multiplayer for Halo Infinite.
As previously announced, the multiplayer component of Halo Infinite will be free to play. So then even more players can enjoy it. There will also be cross-play support and cross-platform progression, so you can keep playing no matter the device.
For those playing the multiplayer on Xbox Series X and S, it will support 120fps.
The first season of the Halo Infinite multiplayer will be called “Heroes of Reach”, which will unlock the Yoroi Spartan.
The Yoroi armor from the Spartan will be free to all players when you play events in Season 1 of the multiplayer.
In terms of gameplay, the multiplayer takes inspiration from past Halo games while also making it accessible to new players.
Two new features called Spartan Academy and Spartan Commander Laurette, will help new players get more adjusted to the maps, weapons and equipment in Halo Infinite multiplayer.
There will also be bot matches to help you practise before a match with other players.
343 says that the goal of Halo Infinite is to “grow over time with the community,” meaning that the game is always evolving thanks to player feedback.
While 343 didn’t go in-depth about all the multiplayer aspects, they did say they’ll be sharing more over the next few days and weeks leading up to launch.
Halo Infinite and its multiplayer is set to launch this Holiday but no official date was announced.
