Update: The Verge is reporting that the December 8 release date for Halo Infinite is correct and we should expect the campaign and multiplayer to launch on that date.
While yesterday’s Xbox gamescom event was light on Halo Infinite details, the official release date for the game has been leaked.
What’s funny about this is that the leak comes directly from Microsoft. Some Twitter users noticed that the Halo Infinite page on the Microsoft Store has added a December 8th, 2021 release date, from the usual Holiday 2021.

Halo Infinite was originally set to be launched alongside the Xbox Series X|S consoles back in November 2020 but then got pushed to fall 2021 and now holiday 2021.
The release date announcement for Halo Infinite will most likely be announced today at gamescom Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Halo Infinite’s campaign and multiplayer will (most likely) be launching on December 8th, the campaign co-op and Forge mode will be coming post-launch.
