This weekend there has been a hunt for clues as to just exactly what is happening with Master Chief. There is ARG (alternate reality) game that players can follow around the internet to unlock clues and try to piece together this mystery.

Building on Halo’s expansive universe and rich tradition of storytelling, Xbox and 343 Industries also launched “Hunt the Truth” – an episodic narrative audio series, now available on HuntTheTruth.tumblr.com. The series stars Keegan-Michael Key (“Key and Peele”) as Benjamin Giraud, a war-journalist who slowly unearths startling new revelations about who the Master Chief really is, forcing listeners to reevaluate what they really know about humanity’s greatest hero.
Since this is the first episode titled “00,” there is expected to be more in the near future.
