Alongside the announcement, a new trailer is up on IGN’s YouTube channel which features an extended look at gameplay which has a gory ballet of oh so many bullets and the game’s English voice acting. Play from the perspective of the game’s absolute chad of an antihero, Grave who is all about being a badass while mowing down enemies with his favourite twin pistols and his weaponized coffin who literally crushes a man while making his entrance. The game is set to feature a story of vengeance, love and loyalty with “an epic adventure across South-East Asia, based on real-life locations with a dark, futuristic twist.”
While technically an indie action third-person shooter, the presentation of Gungrave G.O.R.E. comes across as something more. The game describes itself as a combination of “the best that Eastern and Western game design has to offer.” To add to that last year, the publisher revealed that former Platinum Games and Tango Gameworks designer (and the real star E3 2019), Ikumi Nakamura contribute to the game as a character designer. Overall, Gungrave G.O.R.E. is set to have more than 12 hours of gameplay in the game’s story mode when it launches Fall on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
