As part of the PlayStation Showcase, Cygames has announced Granblue Fantasy: Relink will launch this winter.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is set in the Sky Realm, a world filled with mysterious floating islands. The trailer we were shown at the Showcase featured the protagonist being joined by a dragon named Vyrn and a young girl who has mysterious powers named Lyria, who then sail for Estalucia, an island beyond the skies.
I’ve been looking forward to Granblue Fantasy: Relink since we first learned about its existence back in 2018. The development cycle has seen multiple developers since being announced and a reboot halfway through development but it seems once the project was brought in-house, things finally found footing and we’re finally able to see the fruits of the team’s labour.
The events shown in Relink happen in the Zegagrande Skydom. This area is guarded by powerful primal beasts and the discreet ongoings of the Church of Avia. Your character is caught in a web of intrigue and is thrust into a battle to save the Sky Realm.
Cygames states Granblue Fantasy: Relink features co-op and up to four players can take part in quests and battle online. Today’s trailer showcases the skills and weapons you’ll be able to use when Relink launches. Oh, and if you prefer to play alone, the CPU will handle your party while you focus on the protagonist.
