Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights Will Be Current Gen Only

Yesterday Warner Bros. Montreal announced we’d be getting a gameplay demo for October’s Gotham Knights. The gameplay demo we see below is focused on Red Hood and Nightwing, giving us a good look at how the game has improved and a look at some of the comic-inspired costumes players will be able to use later this year.

Game director Geoff Ellenor walks us through the new demo as the Bat-Family deals with the Court of Owls after the death of Batman. Today’s news also comes with one caveat — the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions have been cancelled. WB Games Montreal confirmed the news stating it was “to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.”

From the video, we see how different the two former Robins handle. Nightwing is acrobatic as ever, while Red Hood prefers his iconic firearm and brute force to deal damage to enemies. Nightwing is able to glide across the city while Red Hood uses energy to get across the city.

Furthermore, we learned pre-orders are now available and you can pick up several versions of Gotham Knights.

There are three versions you can pick up including the Standard, Deluxe, and Collectors:

  • Standard Edition ($99.99)
  • Deluxe Edition ($109.99) – Includes the base game and Visionary Pack downloadable content with exclusive gear, cosmetics, Beyond Suitstyle character skins inspired by the Batman Beyond animated series, and more.
  • Collector’s Edition ($399.99) – Includes the Deluxe Edition, augmented reality collectable pin, 16-page media book, exclusive Gotham City map, four-character statue diorama and more.

Gotham Knights launches on October 25, 2022.
