Publisher Modus Games and developer Modus Studios Brazil has revealed that its unique fighting and rhythm fusion game, God of Rock has been delayed out of its previously announced winter release window and will make its debut on the global stage on April 18th, 2023.
If you’ve never heard of God of Rock, well the elevator pitch is – what if you combined Guitar Hero gameplay with game mechanics from iconic fighting games like Street Fighter or Tekken in one on one fights against revived musicians to determine who truly has the best beat?
“The mysterious God of Rock has revived the souls of the universe’s greatest musicians to clash for his entertainment. Revitalized with new bodies and new powers, each musician will become a contestant in his game, battling it out with each other for musical supremacy on a global stage,” the game’s story description says.
Players will be able to choose from 12 musically inclined fighters with each having their own design, mechanics, harmonic attacks, and much more to dive into. God of Rock is set to feature over 40 original songs alongside a story campaign, training mode and local/ranked online multiplayer mode.
