The game is set in a futuristic city called Dharma Tower, a massive skyscraper serving as humanity’s last refuge after a cataclysmic event. Players take on the role of the Ghostrunner, a cybernetic ninja with incredible agility, reflexes, and a retractable monomolecular katana. Your mission is to ascend the tower and confront its tyrannical ruler, Mara, who controls the city with an iron fist.
A sequel, Ghostrunner 2, is set to launch on October 26, 2023.
Set one year after the events of Ghostrunner, you’ll once again adventure through a cyberpunk future, one where the Keymaster has fallen within the Dharma Tower. Playing as Jack once again, you must now take on a violent AI cult assembled outside of Dharma Tower.
Players will again use a katana to work their way through this world, with deeper exploration within and beyond Dharma Tower, featuring nonlinear levels with complex motorbike sections, new modes and more.
