Developer Old Moon has teamed up with Humble Games on Ghost Song, a Metroidvania set for release this November.
Set on the desolate moon of Lorian, you awaken as a Deadsuit – armed and ready to take on what lies beneath the surface. The developers describe the game as “atmospheric,” as the game is one about self-discovery, ancient mysteries, and cosmic terror.
The game started out as a Kickstarter project back in 2013 and has since been in development. It’s clearly taken some time for this to head to the retail but I’ve had Ghost Song wishlisted on Steam for a few months now. I am a big fan of the game’s aesthetic and the very few trailers I have seen certainly do a great job at giving you an idea of what to expect at launch.
We’re in a renaiisance of Metroidvania games with so many viable choices on the table.
