We’re expecting to hear/see more of this title, we know it’s coming later this year and Ghost Games is developing the title, and we’re learning some things about the upcoming game to 2015’s Need for Speed.

On a blog post on the Need for Speed blog, we learned that Ghost is continuing on the successes of the 2015 Need for Speed, and have listened to fan feedback, complaints and all about what didn’t work.

Customization plays a big part in the next title, as the studio is “committed to customization having a home within the Need for Speed series.” Expect to see this feature in upcoming games and into the foreseeable future, where customization will “play a strong role as ever.”

The most important thing to note is that the next Need for Speed will not be always-online, and a persistent connection will not be needed to play the game, which was a sore spot with 2015 Need for Speed. Now, you can enjoy the story entirely offline, and be able to pause the game, something that was missing from the previous title.

We’ll learn more next month at EA Play.
