Microsoft took to the stage today to announce some really cool details about Gears 4. Gears of War 4 will be one of the very first titles for the Xbox Play Anywhere system. But wait, what’s Xbox Play Anywhere? Well you’re going to be hearing it a lot this E3. The Xbox Play Anywhere system is just how it sounds. Now when you buy eligible titles you’ll only have to buy them once. You’ll have the freedom to play titles such as Gears of War 4 on Xbox One AND Windows 10 for one price. Your progression and achievements are also shared between the two systems.
On top of the Xbox Play Anywhere, Gears of War 4 will also be one of the upcoming Cross-Play titles, meaning all Co-op modes will be able to be played with players on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
Lastly, a beautiful Gears of War 4 Limited Edition Xbox One Elite controller will be released along with the game on October 11th, 2016.
