The Canadian wing of popular mobile game developer Gameloft has been working to promote philanthropy in the gaming space.
Now, they are taking that spirit of being a little bit better to health care.
The Toronto and Montreal studios recently held a Gameloft Canada VS SickKids charity stream, raising money for Canada’s most advanced hospital for pediatric care.
The result: $13,000 for the SickKids Foundation.
The nine-hour stream held last Friday featured members of both studios and big-name Canadian streamers playing popular Gameloft titles like Disney Dreamlight Valley, Disney Speedstorm, Asphalt 9: Legends, LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, The Oregon Trail and SongPop Party.
“We are proud to have organized this charity stream to support the SickKids Foundation,” says Renee Wong, communications specialist at Gameloft Toronto. “We are confident our contribution will help provide important care and support to sick children and their families, and we will continue to look for ways to make a positive impact in the world.”
