The unstoppable global franchise built on speed continues firing on all cylinders with the news that the home entertainment release of Furious 7 has generated $52.5 million in consumer spend across both physical and digital formats in its North American debut. Grossing over $1.5 billion dollars worldwide at the box office, Furious 7 sold roughly 2.5 million units on Blu-ray and DVD in its first week of release, making it the highest-selling, home entertainment live-action film launch of 2015. On both the physical and the digital front, Furious 7 stands as the franchise’s biggest-selling release to date and is on pace to be Universal’s highest-grossing live-action home entertainment release ever.
