Today, Ubisoft announced that Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will include a brand-new operator system. Operators are specialists from the world’s top Special Forces units and masters in their respective fields. Each has their own unique expertise which adds a new tactical layer to the Siege experience and pushes team play even further. Players will put together these operators to create their best CTU (counter-terrorism unit) composition and defeat the opposing team.

Explained on the UbiBlog, game designer Andrew Witt goes into detail on 10 different operators that will be available for closed beta.

Each of the classes in Rainbow Six Siege, dubbed Operators, comes locked and loaded with his or her own special tool, which will require players to master different strategies for each character. When Rainbow Six Siege was announced at E3 2014, we were only able to see six placeholder Operators – three Attackers and three Defenders. At a recent preview event, the team at Ubisoft Montreal showed off ten new and improved Operators, with the promise of ten more shipping with the final game.

Ubisoft will be live streaming an exclusive look at new content including the operator system on Twitch today, March 30, at 2:00pm ET, here: www.twitch.tv/ubisoft.
