Today, during Nintendo’s final Super Mario Bros. Direct, the third and final preview for next month’s feature film based on Super Mario Bros was shown.
At this point, we’ve seen a ton of fan service from these incredible-looking trailers. We’ve seen more of each character in the film including Mario (Chris Pratt) and Donkey Kong (Seth Rogen), a stellar Mario Kart teaser featuring Rainbow Road and Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy). Then, Luma is pretty dire when talking to a captured Luigi (Charlie Day), telling him that the “sweet release of death,” is the only way out of Bowser’s (Jack Black) castle.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) are co-directors on the project with Brain Tyler working alongside Koji Kondo to compose the score.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie hits North American theatres on April 5th, 2023.
