Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Series Have Sold Three Million Copies

Square Enix has revealed that the sales figures of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series have sold three million copies worldwide across PC, mobile and consoles, according to a post on Twitter.

Now this number is just a combined figure of the six remastered games that can either be bought separately or in a bundle so we don’t really know how it breaks down as far as which of the classic games came on top. Hopefully, it was Final Fantasy VI so it can push the publisher even more to greenlight a big-budget remake that it deserves.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster was Square Enix’s endeavour to give fans a modern way of playing the first six main entries in its long-running franchise – Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, and Final Fantasy VI. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series first launched for PC, iOS, and Android on July 28th, 2021 with only the first three classic games with the other entries to follow months later until the last release of Final Fantasy VI on February 23rd, 2022. All six of the pixel remaster titles were later released on PS4 and Nintendo Switch on April 19th, 2023.

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is currently available to play on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
