Revealed during the Nintendo Partner Direct for February 2026, Square Enix came out swinging and revealed Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is launching on June 3, 2026.
Originally launching in February 2024, the follow-up to Final Fantasy 7 Remake broke players out of Midgar and put them into the larger world filled with memorable places and people. From chocobo farms to desert prisons and even the Gold Saucer, the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an iconic place filled with hundreds of memorable moments.
In our review, we said that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth “is incredible. I struggled to complete my review because I had so much fun working through each region in a nearly 100-hour playthrough. I dread waiting another four years for the finale, but I put my faith in Square Enix’s hands. If Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth indicates what to expect going forward, then I believe in the vision. The ending will be divisive for many people, but it means as much to the developers as it does to fans, and because of that idea, I walk away content with where we left off.”
Those who pick up the physical copy will get a Zack Fair Magic: The Gathering card. Boost Mode is also arriving which is likely set to come to other consoles, too. In Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, Boost allows you to deal 9,999 damage, max health and magic, maxed Materia, most weapons and accessories, and more.
Earlier this year, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade arrived on Switch, where I called it a technical miracle since it runs well on the hardware.
