Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Launches February 2024

Closing out today’s State of Play was Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in one of the most colourful trailers of one of the most anticipated games.

As the second game in a trilogy, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth features many familiar faces, some new ones, and several fan-favourite locations, including Juno and The Golden Saucer!

However, what needs to be discussed is not that we’re getting Chocobo racing or that we can fly on Chocobos and breed them but that Cloud rode a Segway. Oh, and did I mention that we saw Cait Sith, more of several relationships in the game and also a tease of Vincent Valentine?

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth picks up after Remake as Cloud and his team escape Midgar and head toward Kalm. Several producers and directors working on the massive project indicate this entry could last over 100 hours, so be prepared to dig in and breed a Gold Chocobo!

In addition to the release date, Square Enix announced an exclusive Collector’s Edition on the Square Enix Store, and it’s a hefty $349. To get that to Canada will cost you an arm like Barrett.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
