Square Enix has both Chocobo GP and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin set to launch this month. This year is also the franchise’s 35th anniversary and it looks like the publisher is going to be celebrating with announcements and reveals.
So how do they celebrate this momentous occasion? Well, for starters by creating a brand new website that will reveal those announcements and more it seems. Right now, you can head over and explore a bit, but the content is light and doesn’t offer much outside of a message from Yoshinori Kitase.
“We will continue to work hard making each Final Fantasy game one that you will remember for a long time to come,” producer Yoshinori Kitase said. “The FF 35th site will support new releases, sharing info on upcoming titles and merchandise. I hope you’re excited for what’s on the way for Final Fantasy.”
Today a new State of Play will air at 5:00 PM ET with 20 minutes of updates focusing on games made by Japanese developers. It seems likely we will see something from Square Enix at the event. We haven’t seen Final Fantasy XVI since the tail end of 2020, I could only assume we’ll see something today.
