After revealing its existence in December, Koei Tecmo posted a new video regarding Fate/Samurai Remnant, the latest game from Omega Force.
In a video likely posted prematurely, the Fate/Samurai Remnant trailer included a look at gameplay and ended with September 28, 2023, launch date in Japan. Koei Tecmo typically follows a global launch release window, so it’ll most likely launch the following day, September 29, in the West, if not the same day as in Japan.
Since the beginning of the Fate series, masters and servants fought across the Holy Grail Wars with the winning pair receiving an artifact that grants wishes. Set in the fourth year of the Keian Era, in Edo Period Japan, the land is recovering after the war. However, a new battle known as the Waxing Moon Ritual begins, and the hero Miyamoto Iori finds himself caught in the violence alongside his servant Saber.
For those in Japan, a Treasure Box edition will be available for ¥17,380 and includes a Samurai Remnant Material novel, a cover for a book resembling a tome, Command Spell Seal x 7, B2 Poster, and Original Soundtrack CD.
A Digital Deluxe Edition is available for ¥17,028 and includes a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, Season Pass featuring DLCs 1 through 3, and bonus costume.
For those big spenders, a Treasure Box + DX Figure Set will be available and includes the entire Treasure Box Edition and a figure of Miyamoto Musashi for ¥49,380:
Not much has been revealed regarding story details since the reveal last year. The leaked video indicated Fate/Samurai Remnant is launching on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC.
