Ubisoft has revealed Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds, an upcoming expansion that is set to go live next week.
Available as part of the Upgrade Pass for Xbox Series, PlayStation consoles, and PC, Lost Between Worlds features Dani Rojas as she explores a fractured version of Yara.
Dani visits a mysterious meteorite site where she discovers a twisted version of the place she is fighting for. This twisted space between worlds is filled with noncorporeal beings including Fai. Dani must help Fai fix their broken spacecraft by collecting five lost shards with each one also boosting Dani’s stats for survivability.
To recover the lost shards, you’ll navigate 15 trials known as Rifts. You must defeat Shardfaces resembling humanoids and animals. Each Rift is distinct, and you’ll encounter a shattered fortress in the sky, an underwater Esperanca, and more. You also have the freedom to explore and approach each Rift as you like with new weapons and energy fragments scattered along the way.
Ubisoft continues to push the boundaries of what the Far Cry franchise is and while I can understand this might not be for everyone, the latest expansion looks entertaining, to say the least. I’ll be sure to check it out next week.
Far Cry 6: Lost Between Worlds Expansion launches December 6, 2022, and retails for $19 US or $29 CAD.
