Focus Entertainment and developer People Can Fly have announced that the upcoming third-person sci-fi western Evil West will no longer launch on September 20 as intended.
“First of all, we would like to thank you for your continued support and patience for Evil West,” says the official Twitter account for the game. “We are overwhelmed by the incredible reception the game has gotten so far from our trailers and the demo some of you played at PAX East.”
The main reason behind delaying Evil West is due to having several platform releases and multiple generations of consoles. The extra time will be used to polish the experience and ensure the game is ready for players.
More and more games are being delayed each week and it’s about time we normalize delays to ensure developers have ample time to make the best product they can.
