Everything Revealed At Gamescom: Opening Night Live 2023
Another 12 months have passed, which means Geoff Keighley is back at it again with his second-biggest game showcase, Opening Night Live, which has been hosted as part of Europe’s biggest gaming convention Gamescom since its debut in 2019. Unlike past years, the 2023 edition of Opening Night Live will focus less on surprise new “get hype” announcements and “one more thing.” Still, according to Keighley via VGC interview, more updates on games fans already know about and anticipate.
Some of those announced titles were already confirmed before the game presentation officially kicked off, which include Alan Wake II, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Black Myth Wukong, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Crimson Desert, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Fort Solis, Homeworld 3, Lords of the Fallen, Mortal Kombat 1, Nightingale, Sonic Superstars, Zenless Zone Zero. and many more. In total, we got a look at over 40 games coming this and next year, so there is a lot to look forward to.
The live stream presentation starts with Geoff Keighley introducing Open Night Live in front of a live audience in the Cologne, Germany venue. Opening Night Live starts with the pre-show hosted by Kyle Bossman, introducing a handful of trailers. As the minutes count down, the main show starts with Geoff Keighley introducing us to the show with a musical performance for Starfield.
