Free content for Elden Ring is launching on December 7 for consoles and PC and will be free to everyone. The content shouldn’t come as a big surprise as it was datamined earlier this year.

On Twitter, Bandai Namco and From Software announced the Colosseum Update will see three new areas added. These three Coloosseums are located in Limgrave, Leyndell, and Caelid and will open their gates for players to engage in duals, free-for-alls, and team fights.
It may not be more story-based content but it is exciting to see From Software offering players another reason to return to the Lands Between. This will all come in handy as the studio has been working on balancing several elements over the last few months to make sure players receive the best experience through patches. Most recently, patch 1.07 added separate damage scaling for PvP elements including Weapons, Skills, Spells, and Incantations when playing against other players.
It is likely we’re seeing this content drop ahead of The Game Awards 2022 to ensure it doesn’t get drowned out in content reveals on Thursday. Either way, more video games for everyone!
