Bandai Namco and FromSoftware’s Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Switch 2 finally has a release date, and it’s launching this August.

The game features the dark fantasy world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki, and George R.R. Martin is finally landing on the Switch 2 just a few months shy of the console’s first anniversary. The bundle includes the base game and the expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which launched in 2024 and added substantial content.
The title also includes two new starting classes to choose from, currently called Knight of Ides and Heavy Knight. You can also customize Torrent as part of this bundle.

Those who become Tarnished will face the most challenging opponents but will be rewarded for their success. There are innumerable hidden secrets tucked away in the nooks of each location, and even now, nearly 70 hours in, I’m finding something I didn’t expect or coming up against a boss who has no qualms about ruining me. I expect to play through Elden Ring several times more to truly understand the bigger picture.”
