Elden Ring Ships 25 Million Copies With The Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion Right Around The Corner

Just nine days before the release of Elden Ring‘s upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, publisher Bandai Namco and developer From Software have announced that the base game has shipped 25 million copies across all platforms since its launch in 2022, according to a milestone post on Twitter.

Elden Ring has shipped over 25 million copies worldwide. Thank you to everyone who has played the game,” From Software said on Twitter this morning.

The newest milestone comes over a year after the game surpassed 20 million players. In 2022, just a month after the game’s initial launch, Elden Ring sold 13.4 million copies. We actually got to review Elden Ring, and we absolutely loved the game, like everyone else.

“Without a doubt, Elden Ring is full of ambition and unabashedly a FromSoftware title. Players entering the Lands Between will find beauty but also chaos and danger. Those who become Tarnished will find themselves against the most challenging opponents but will be rewarded for their success. There are innumerable hidden secrets tucked away in the nooks of each location, and even now, nearly 70 hours in, I’m finding something I didn’t expect or coming up against a boss who has no qualms about ruining me. I expect to play through Elden Ring at least several times more to understand the bigger picture truly,” Bobby said in our review.

It has been some time since we first got our hands on Elden Ring, but more content in the form of the previously mentioned Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, which is set to launch on the first day of summer, June 21st; no better way to officially kick off the summer season. Players in the expansion will find themselves in the new Land of Shadow as they take on a bevy of new enemies and bosses alongside new weapons, skills, equipment, and more to find. The software confirms players can travel back and forth between the Land of Shadow and the base game’s Lands Between.

Elden Ring launched worldwide on February 25th, 2022, and is currently available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series.
