Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising the prequel spin-off of Kickstarter darling Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, is set to launch next month.
After hitting its minimum funding goal in three hours, Eiyuden Chronicle: Heroes Rising has gone on to raise nearly $4.5 million and is considered to be a spiritual successor to the forgotten franchise from Konami, Suikoden.
Playing as CJ, you’ll team up with two others seeking fortune and journey as you head into the Runebarrows. The game is a sidescrolling action game and will feature character switching between CJ, Isha and Garoo — all three specializing in combat. The story will tie together into next year’s Hundred Heroes, building off the conspiracy discovered in Rising.
The prequel and its sibling game will be published by 505 Games and launch on May 10 for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. The game is also coming to Game Pass on day one.
