EA Motive Is Working On An Iron Man Game

It’s official: EA Motive is working on a new Iron Man title that is in early development at the Montreal-based studio. The team is being led by Olivier Proulx, who previously worked on past Marvel titles like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and also industry veterans Ian Frazier, Maëlenn Lumineau, and JF Poirier.

The project is a collaboration with Marvel Games and will feature an original narrative game that looks to tap into the rich history of Iron Man and will be a single-player, third-person, action-adventure game.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the talented team at Motive Studio to bring their original vision of one of Marvel’s most important, powerful and beloved characters,” said Bill Rosemann, Vice President and Creative Director at Marvel Games. “Their experience delivering both established entertainment worlds and thrilling gameplay — combined with their authentic passion for the armoured icon — will fuel our quest to deliver a love letter to a legendary hero in the form of the ultimate Iron Man video game.”

EA Motive has previously worked in Star Wars Squadrons, a satisfying video game focusing on space battles set after Return of the Jedi, with the campaign focusing on two teams of pilots.

Currently, Iron Man is in pre-production and it will likely be a while before we hear or see more regarding the project. A blog post confirms that this title is the first of several new games in development.
