[E3 2015] #XboxE3: Xbox Introduces Backwards Compatibility

Today at Xbox’s E3 Conference they announced that Xbox One will have backwards compatibility. This new update will allow Xbox Users to play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, through digital download and through Xbox 360 disc. Fans were delighted to hear this as this has been a struggle for next Gen consoles fans that look to return to last gen games they already own. Now with this capability Xbox users can also return to their Xbox 360 favourites for free, if they already owned the title. Fan’s aren’t the only ones excited about this as developers seem to be taking advantage of the update by having Xbox 360 prequels release alongside Xbox One sequels. Although Ubisoft is the first to announce this with the release of Rainbow Six Siege, it is highly predicted that other developers will soon follow.
