Today in the Nintendo Digital E3 event, Zelda mastermind Eiji Aonuma released new footage of The Legend of Zelda Title for the Wii U, that is set to release in 2015. Developers explained that their inspiration for the new game stemmed from the original 64 bit Legend of Zelda that allowed players to explore a large world by scrolling up, down, left and right. Aonuma explained that so far they were unable to have a large world that is fully accessibl in a 3D design. Adding, that instead they have only been able to provide isolated worlds that have a predetermined exit & entrance, and those worlds are within a large setting. Similar to Windwaker that had islands within the ocean.
Developers promise that The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will be a more vast world than any other, that has complete accessibility. The more free roam capability will make puzzle solving even more difficult because there will not be given paths to the start of the puzzles. He is definitely changing the mechanics of the game, saying that getting from point A to point B is a puzzle itself. The first look of The Legend of Zelda reveals the art style, and finally a close up look at the legend himself, Link.
