You’ve really got to hand it to Dyson.
They have somehow consistently disrupted the consumer market with new products over the past 31 years, including 17 in fan engineering.
Now, the British engineering firm is perhaps best known for its distinctive lineup of home and business fans, but its newest product — the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, a hand fan — appears to take inspiration from the hair-drying Dyson Supersonic.
Dyson seems optimistic that the weather here in Canada is going to soon be hot enough — and without snow enough — for us to need a portable fan for things like music festivals and Fan Expos, and that’s where HushJet Mini Cool will blow away the competition.
At just 212 grams, this is the lightest a Dyson fan has ever been!
It’s capable of providing up to 6 hours of battery life on a single charge and still delivers a powerful airflow of up to 90 kilometres per hour.
Dyson intends for the HushJet Mini Cool to be an everyday device, with multiple configurations for different use cases, and it’s ready for all of them!
On-the-go, it comes packaged with a lanyard and a protective travel pouch.
At home, it comes with a charging stand that converts it into a convenient USB-C-powered desk fan.
When it is released this summer, the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool will come clad in three of the company’s now comfortable colourways. They are described as follows:
- Cobalt/Ink: By blending cobalt blue with ink blue, Dyson captures the duality of city living, vibrant and bold, yet elegant and composed.
- Carnelian/Sky: Carnelian is a vivid evolution of our classic Dyson red bringing it to life with the matte finish and sky blue for a sense of freshness and cooling.
- Stone/Blush: Inspired by mother of pearl, a soft tinted white infused with a delicate blush of pink offers a sense of calm and warmth, evoking the inner glow of a pearl shell.
Dyson HushJet Mini Cool will be available in Canada starting May 7, 2026, at a breezy $129.99 CAD.
