Dying Light 2 Stay Human Shifts to February

After a massive information blowout and a steady drip of tidbits over the last few months, it seemed like the December 7 launch for Dying Light 2 Stay Human was looking likely. Today, Pawel Marchewka, the CEO of Techland, announced the game’s delay into 2022.

“It has always been our company’s goal to build transparent and honest communication with our community, fans, and gamers,” says Marchewka. “Every day, we strive to grow in this element.”

“The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. The game is complete and we are currently playtesting it,” he continues. “It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. Unfortunately, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time and polish.”

“That is Why we have decided to move the release date to February 4, 2022.”

Marchewka promises another look at Dying Light 2 next month as press and content creators are getting a hands-on preview. This will be preceded with “exciting news about the game later this month.”
