The “cosmic horror fishing adventure with a sinister undercurrent” is getting its first paid additional content.
Months after completing and reviewing it, Dredge remains one of my favourite games of 2023. It’s a title I hope more people find, especially now that new content is on the way.
“In The Pale Reach, you’ll navigate the treacherous ice fields to discover a mystery frozen under the ice. Retrace the steps of the last crew before you and unearth a story of bitter betrayal. Find some familiar faces and develop new equipment to navigate the area and profit from its inhabitants.”
The new location will undoubtedly stir up some new beasts and hidden horrors, some of which can be seen in the trailer above. There will also be 11 new creatures to haul aboard and uncover.
The DLC is the first piece of content the team at Black Salt Games is releasing with a price tag. Dredge has seen three other updates since its release in the spring. Each of them was free of charge.
Dredge: The Pale Reach will arrive November 16 on PC, Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series and Xbox One.
