Dragon Quest XI is shaping up to be a return to form after Dragon Quest X, an MMO and first for the series, felt like the magic of Dragon Quest wasn’t there.
Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Dragon Quest XI this weekend at Jump Desta, a huge comic convention in Tokyo. The new trailer is the best look we’ve had at the in production title thus far, and so far it looks good!
The new characters aside from being too young for my liking, the world and environments are beautiful and the now confirmed release on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. The handheld version plays somewhat different, but, it looks to be a proper port of the console game featuring both 3D models on the top screen and a 2D representation on the bottom screen. It’s neat!
