The cat is out of the bag, or, in this case, the slime is out of the bag. Square Enix has pulled back the curtain on the next installment in the Dragon Quest series, Dragon Quest XI.
The story follows a young hero, the Luminary, who discovers his destiny to save the world from looming evil. Along the way, he gathers a diverse group of companions, each with their compelling backstories. Together, they face powerful enemies, uncover deep secrets about their world, and explore a sprawling landscape filled with towns, dungeons, and quests.
With simultaneous release on the PS4, Nintendo 3DS, and the yet unannounced NX from Nintendo, this entry will be a stand-alone title that foregoes the MMO style of the last entry, Dragon Quest X.
