Square Enix showed up in a big way during today’s Nintendo Direct. In the middle of the live stream, a new Dragon Quest Monsters entry, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince, was revealed.
Starring Psaro, the demon prince, with a curse that prevents him from harming monsters, you can recruit and command various monster types as a Monster Wrangler within the world of Nadiria.
Psaro will face the oncoming seasons, with each one changing the landscape to open new playable areas, and players should expect to discover new monsters specific to each season.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince adds a new synthesis system allowing players to create new monsters by combining those stored in their roster. You can experiment and create over 500 monsters, including franchise favourites, dark lords and more. You can then head online and challenge other Monster Wranglers to monster battles.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince launches December 1, 2023.
