Fans of the franchise have so much to look forward to over the next few years and that includes the newly revealed Dragon Quest III remake that uses the same style of graphics as Octopath Traveler and Project Triangle Strategy. The game is being developed by Team Asano with publishing being handled by Square Enix.
Masaaki Hayasaki, the producer working on the project says that “The HD-2D style we’re using combines pixel art with 3D effects to produce a sense of depth and atmosphere like nothing else.”
As for when the game launches, Hayasaki says that as soon as they have a date, we’ll be first to know. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake will aim for a simultaneous worldwide release.
