Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince Online Features Detailed

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is launching next month, and today, the developer has revealed online features coming in December.

You’ll be able to compete against friends and people worldwide in online battles. To get a head start, a demo is available on the Nintendo eShop, with progress carrying over to the full game at launch.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince includes Quickfire Contests – as Psaro completes the campaign, Fizzy will be available in Rosehill Tower as new content becomes available and new content becomes available to purchase. This mode will include something new and old players can enjoy as they hone and focus their monsters’ skills in battle.

Additionally, there will be three battle categories to choose from:

  • Ranked Matches – You can play against othjjer players from around the world and compete to take the top spot in the rankings. As you rise in rankings, you can earn rare accessories and itmes in battle.
  • Friend Matches – You can play against others for fun but only against friends in a player’s Nintendo account.
  • Multiplayer Tournament – Up to eight players clash in a knockout format against players worldwide.

Quickfire Contests use the data of 30 players to conduct battles in an instant. The mode earns players rewards only once per day but includes items that raise your monsters’ stats and identical monsters (B Rank and below only) from defeated teams within the competition. You can view the details of each battle at the end and practice against the opponent’s data in Sparring Matches. Utilize this information to improve one’s party composition and tweak battle tactics. Quickfire Contests are a fast and easy way to strengthen your party, recruit new monsters and earn valuable items.

The Online Shop updates daily with new stock, and items available change as the player progresses through the campaign. With special scrolls that can teach a new Talent to a monster, many powerful accessories, and a selection of delectable meats available, the Online Shop has something of value for monster wranglers of all levels.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince launches on December 1, 2023 for the Switch.
