Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi Sequel Announced

Revealed at this weekend’s Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2023 esports tournament, a new Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is in development.

There is very little information at the moment but we did get a brief teaser trailer that shows Super Saiyan Blue Goku powering up.

My best guess is that the next entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series will mainly focus on the Dragon Ball Super era of both manga and anime, which has a fair amount of content available for consumption.

The series has never been particularly good but they were some of the earliest games that saw the series transition to 3D and with modest success to boot. Fans are going nuts over this weekend’s reveal because of how iconic the series is and how broken and overpowered some of the later characters were.

My fondest memories were renting each game and playing for hours against my cousin and brother while spamming Kamehameha finishers to really troll them. The series holds a special place in my heart because of how much I’d abuse the mechanics each time I’d play
