DRAGON BALL Xenoverse 2

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is Getting PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Ports on May 24, Featuring Last Gen Upgrades

The May two-four weekend just got a lot more Xenoversal

Just a little over three years into the new console cycle, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dimps have announced in a post on Twitter that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is getting native PS5 and Xbox Series versions on May 24th.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 PS4 and Xbox One owners can take their last-gen adventure to the new version by upgrading on PlayStation or through Smart Delivery on Xbox, including save transfers. Bandai Namco didn’t even mention if the jump to the native new-gen versions will be free for current players but only stated that a detailed upgrade and save data transfer instructions would be revealed later.

The news is off the heels of Bandai Namco announcing the launch date of Dragon Ball FighterZ’s PS5 and Xbox Series Ports of Dragon Ball FighterZ alongside rollback netcode would launch on February 29th; it is available now as of writing. The Dragon Ball train might not stop there as the successor to the Dragon Ball Budoaki Tenkaichi games, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero might be released later this year, although no release window has been announced so far.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was the sequel to the 2015 entry and was initially released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2016. It later came to Nintendo Switch in 2017.
