The free-to-play mobile title launched in January 2018 in Japan and has enjoyed an impressive run. The Team Ninja developed title was a spin-off of the console titles as it was a turn-based game while the console titles were action RPGs.
While there were gacha mechanics included, Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia offered fair winbacks so the player could enjoy their time with the title.
Featuring hundreds of characters from the series, players embarked on missions with their favourite characters. Last year, over 10 million downloads were revealed.

Square Enix mentions it can no longer support the title at the quality it requires so the company made the difficult decision to shutter services. In-app purchases are offline and while you can still use any gems until next year, you can’t buy them.
