Gameloft has been tapped to develop Disney Dreamlight Valley, a new free-to-play title that is set to launch in 2023. An Early Access version is set to go live later this summer but you’ll need to pick up a Founder’s Pack.
Gameloft Montreal has been working on the life-sim for some time. Set in Dreamlight Valley, it seems like this world features many of the iconic Disney properties, including Mickey & Friends, Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Moana, Toy Story, Wall-E and more.
From what we know, you’ll explore this new world while learning what led to your arrival in Dreamlight Valley while also exploring this world and visiting various realms. The studio is promising an “expansive, engrossing, story-driven campaign.” With Disney and Pixar characters being featured, each one will have its own unique story arcs and you can even befriend them.
Disney confirms players can whip up themed desserts in the village restaurant with Remy from Ratatouille, fish with Goofy, plant and harvest vegetables in Wall-E’s garden and more. Completing these activities will begin to remove the dark thorns around Dreamlight Valley.
There will be customization and personalization to make your own Disney experience. Disney Dreamlight Valley promises hundreds of items of clothing and several unique biomes to explore. You can even outfit your home with themed items from Disney films.
